Alexandria, Va., May 4, 2006 –Gerencia
de Viajes will be sponsoring a track of Spanish seminars at THETRADESHOW
(Travel Retailing and Destination Expo) in Orlando, Sept. 10-12, 2006.
The seminars currently scheduled include “Hispanic Travel Marketing
Trends,” “Airline Packages” and “Travel Agency
Success Story.” The seminars will be given in Spanish on Sunday,
Sept. 10 and will be aimed at both U.S. and international Hispanic travel
professionals.
Gerencia de Viajes Magazine was established in 1993
and targets the Latin American travel trade industry. The magazine provides
information on leisure and corporate travel, meetings and conventions,
and incentive travel. The joint venture at THETRADESHOW
will offer travel professionals a detailed, educational series of seminars
and cultural experience. The “Hispanic Travel Trends” seminar
focuses on comparing trends in marketing to Hispanics from a domestic
and international perspective. “Airline Packages” will examine
ways in which travel agents can combine air and sell to Hispanic families
who return to Latin America to visit their extended families. “Travel
Agency Success Stories” outlines a travel management firm working
with the Hispanic market.

THETRADESHOW will take
place the second week of September every year and will be held in Orlando
(Sept. 10-12, 2006) in even years and Las Vegas (Sept. 9-12, 2007) in
odd years. THETRADESHOW will host more than
3,000 travel sellers and 1,000 consumers in just three days at one site.
Created from the partnership of the leading travel associations, THETRADESHOW
will include two full days of open floor trade show, business-to-business
appointments, a trade and consumer day (Sunday) and two trade only days
(Monday and Tuesday). Travel sellers will have the opportunity to meet
one-on-one with suppliers and to learn in-depth about their products.
