Alexandria, Va., July 14, 2006 – THETRADESHOW (Travel Retailing and Destination Expo) partners are pleased to announce the International Institute for Peace through Tourism (IIPT) has signed on as a sponsor for THETRADESHOW in Orlando, Sept. 10-12, 2006. IIPT is dedicated to making travel and tourism the world’s first global peace industry.
“THETRADESHOW partners are thrilled to be working with IIPT and are hopeful with their global influence more travel professionals will become aware of the upcoming expo,” said Kathryn W. Sudeikis, CTC, ASTA president and CEO. “IIPT’s attendance at THETRADESHOW will encourage other attendees to spread the word about being an ambassador for peace throughout the world.”
“IIPT is honored to be a sponsor of THETRADESHOW and looks forward to collaborating in promoting travel throughout the world as a vital force in contributing to international understanding, cultural exchange, the reduction of poverty and preservation of biodiversity,” said Louis J. D’Amore, president of IIPT. “It is only through travel and people-to-people encounters that we can come to realize the full significance of our inter-connectedness and common future in an ever shrinking ‘Global Village’.”
