Release 16
Alexandria, Va., June 15, 2006 –
THETRADESHOW (Travel Retailing and Destination
Expo) partners are pleased to announce that travel professionals can fill
out a survey and be placed in a new matchmaking system that will pair
them up with supplier companies with related interests. By getting matched
with an assortment of suppliers, attendees can schedule business appointments
on a first-come, first-serve basis at THETRADESHOW
in Orlando, Sept. 12, 2006.
“Travel agents will have the unique opportunity
to meet with the travel industry’s top suppliers by attending the
business appointments,” said Joanie Ogg, CTC, president of NACTA
and Travelsellers.com. “Additionally when taking part in the new
matchmaking system, agents will become more aware of prospective businesses
to forge new relationships with.”
Business appointments also offer travel suppliers exhibiting
at THETRADESHOW the chance to meet face-to-face
with travel agents and update agents on the latest news in their company.
Suppliers can profit tremendously from these meetings because they can
boast to travel agents on why they should use them for their clients.
Travel agents and suppliers interested in updating their
profile, visit www.eshow2000.com/thetradeshow/networking_login.cfm.
THETRADESHOW will take
place the second week of September every year and will be held in Orlando
(Sept. 10-12 2006) in even years and Las Vegas (Sept. 9-11, 2007) in odd
years. Travel sellers will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with
suppliers and to learn in-depth about their products. The three-day, industry-wide
event will have two travel industry-only days and will feature a day of
one-on-one business appointments. Additionally, one day will be designated
for consumers, where both travel sellers and suppliers will have the opportunity
to educate the consumer on their businesses and the best way to choose
and organize their travel arrangements.
