Alexandria, Va., June 6, 2006 –
THETRADESHOW (Travel Retailing and Destination
Expo) is pleased to announce the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies
(ACTA) has signed on as a strategic partner at THETRADESHOW
in Orlando, Sept. 10-12, 2006. As an organization, ACTA prides itself
on representing and defending the interests of the retail travel services
industry.

are eager to collaborate with ACTA to reach out to Canadian travel agents
and suppliers that want to increase their knowledge of travel by attending
THETRADESHOW,” said William A. Maloney,

and more well-rounded by immersing themselves in all aspects of the travel
industry.”

As a strategic partner, ACTA will be involved in the
planning of THETRADESHOW from overall design
to speakers and education.
THETRADESHOW will take
place the second week of September every year and will be held in Orlando
(Sept. 10-12 2006) in even years and Las Vegas (Sept. 9-11, 2007) in odd
years. Travel sellers will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with
suppliers and to learn in-depth about their products. The three-day, industry-wide
event will have two travel industry-only days and will feature a day of
one-on-one business appointments. Additionally, one day will be designated
for consumers, where both travel sellers and suppliers will have the opportunity
to educate the consumer on their businesses and the best way to choose
and organize their travel arrangements.
