THETRADESHOW (Travel Retailing and Destination
Expo) partners are pleased to announce that Roger Dow, president and CEO
of the Travel Industry Association of America (TIA), will be speaking
on THESHOWSTAGE Sept. 10, 2006, in Orlando.
As a company, TIA promotes and facilitates increased travel to and within
the United States.

delegates.”

Prior to joining TIA in 2005, Roger Dow spanned a 34-year
career at Marriott International. As senior vice president of Global and
Field Sales, Dow led Marriott’s 10,000-person worldwide sales organization.
Dow was instrumental in developing Marriott Rewards, the world’s
leading frequent traveler program.
Dow has received numerous awards throughout his career.
He was inducted into the Hall of Leaders by the Convention Industry Council
(CIC); named as one of the industry’s top leaders by Meeting Professionals
International (MPI); and honored with the Academy of Leaders Award by
the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). Dow often speaks
on leadership, sales, marketing and management at conventions and corporate
meetings. He co-authored two books titled, “TURNED ON -- Eight Vital
Insights to Energize Your People, Customers and Profits” and “THE
TRUST IMPERATIVE – The Competitive Advantage of Trust-based Business
Relationships.”
THETRADESHOW will take
place the second week of September every year and will be held in Orlando
(Sept. 10-12 2006) in even years and Las Vegas (Sept. 9-11, 2007) in odd
years. Travel sellers will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with
suppliers and to learn in-depth about their products. The three-day, industry-wide
event will have two travel industry-only days and will feature a day of
one-on-one business appointments. Additionally, one day will be designated
for consumers, where both travel sellers and suppliers will have the opportunity
to educate the consumer on their businesses and the best way to choose
and organize their travel arrangements.
