Presentation Pavilions Provide THETRADESHOW Delegates

Alexandria, Va., July 30, 2009 –Attendees at this year’s THETRADESHOW (Travel Retailing and Destination Expo) in Las Vegas (Sept. 13-15) will be able to learn about everything from how to properly market and position their agency to the newest offerings from Wynn Resorts and the benefits of ASTA membership through the show’s Presentation Pavilions.

“Travel agents today are looking for new products and the latest marketing techniques to put them ahead of the competition,” said Bob Whitely, president, U.S. Tour Operators Association, one of 16 industry THETRADESHOW partners. “Located on the trade show floor, presentation pavilions really give agents to the opportunity to supplement their knowledge of a product or company without leaving the floor. It’s a great way to expand your product knowledge.”

Presentation pavilions will feature the following:

·         Authentic Marketing for Travel Agents. Presented by Richard B. Earls. Courtesy of Travel Research Online. For a travel agent’s brand to be clear and strong, it must be “authentic” - honestly presented with integrity. Travel consulting, because it depends so heavily on one-to-one encounters between the consultant and the client, is particularly dependant on a sense of authenticity. If a consumer believes that a company or service is authentic, they will gravitate to it, support it and even promote it to others. If they perceive it as inauthentic, they will shun it as one more noisy imposition, a part of the marketing and advertising clutter through which they must daily wade. Join TRO’s Richard Earls and learn how to stand out from the crowd by developing an authentic brand for your travel practice.
