Despite Economy, THETRADESHOW Registrations Prove Strong
Alexandria, VA, June 10, 2009- Even with a weakened economy, registrations for travel buyers attending THETRADESHOW (Sept. 13-15) in Las Vegas are 20 percent ahead of registration figures for last year’s event with 15 weeks to go.
“I think that one positive outcome of this recession has been that people really realize the importance of networking and education as part of their overall business strategy. Strong business relationships can really make a difference when times are tough,” said Bill Maloney, CTC, CEO of ASTA, one of 16 managing partners of THETRADESHOW. “No other industry show provides as much comprehensive education or training to enrich attendees’ careers and sales.”
THETRADESHOW will bring together travel buyers and suppliers from across the globe for three intensive days of networking and education. From seminars on using social networking as a part of an overall marketing strategy to courses teaching the fundamentals of business travel management, there is something for every type of travel buyer, whether they are new to the industry or seasoned professionals.
As an added incentive, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) is hosting a special drawing for a $250 American Express Gift Card. All registered travel agents attending THETRADESHOW are eligible to enter the drawing.
