ASTA's Advocacy Dinner celebrates ASTA's influence in shaping the policies affecting the retail travel business. It is a chance for ASTA to spotlight its role in the legislative process and for attendees to socialize and network with like-minded travel professionals.

Attendees of the 2009 ASTA Advocacy Dinner in Las Vegas had the opportunity to build and sustain relationships with top travel industry professionals while celebrating ASTA's advocacy achievements over the past year. The evening featured an exclusive cocktail reception, top-flight entertainment, and an elegant black-tie dinner that brought together leading travel agents and major suppliers. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the annual Barbara O'Hara Advocacy Award to Olga Ramudo from Express Travel, Miami Florida, for her tireless work on an urgent airline industry issue. The O'Hara Award is given by the Interactive Travel Services Association to the travel agent who best displays leadership in grassroots leadership on behalf of the travel agency community.
